Pat Meagher

Pat Meagher VegetablesPat Meagher manages the vegetable garden and its restoration in Inchiquin House.  Growing up in Sheffield his first career was as a paediatric nurse for twelve years before opting for a more outdoor-orientated life.  Before moving to Ireland, seven years ago, he worked as a tree surgeon and landscape gardener in Denmark.  When he arrived to Irish shores he began to work at the well known Seedsavers in East Co. Clare who specialise in growing and maintaining historic varieties of seeds.  Here he developed his knowledge of productive gardening and orchard management which led him to planting orchards around Ireland.

Over the coming years Pat will develop the Inchiquin House vegetable garden into a sustainable market garden and plant indigenous orchard trees in the adjacent field which was once an Orchard.

Our aim is to produce vegetables, jams and chutneys which guests can purchase in the near future.
